End of Season Review

Well, it looks like the end of the season is here. With my move to Arizona in about 11 days and me bordering on the level of 'burnt out', it looks like I'm done racing this summer (on the east coast at least). Here's a wrap-up of my races (almost all of which were "firsts" for me):

April 29 - Long Branch Half Marathon
May 29 - Rayway Mayor's Day 5K
June 16 - Wyckoff Sprint Triathlon
July 8 - Randolph Sprint Triathlon
August 19 - Harriman Sprint Triathlon
September 9 - Buckman Olympic Triathlon
September 16 - Silvermine Time Trial

I think that just about covers it. Of course, once you throw in the High Point to Cape May bike ride that's a pretty full summer. A couple running races, a handful of triathlons and a bike race to top it all off. I'm pretty happy with my performances overall... though it's pretty surprising that being decent at triathlons doesn't carry over to running or cycling races. What I thought were good performances ended up being bottom of the barrel compared to the folks who focus only on one event.

So what's on tap for next year? Well, everything I've read/heard says that Tucson is the top-spot for winter training so maybe I'll be able to work on my biking and running skills. I don't know, I really don't want to think about that right now -- I'll worry about that in a couple weeks.

So what's Brian doing for Halloween?

Take some Brian time. Everyone can use a little Brian time or was this summer Brian time? I think i need some Brian time.
Good luck out there but you don't need it. It's on lock down.
I already dropped the first of many hints to my boss;
"Tuscon looks good this year. They courses are money. I think The GM of XXXXX Club just called the other day about a Rules conference presentation. How's the new wife going? Is the honeymoon over yet? Yeah, that part sucks."
