All good things come to an end...

That's right, the winter beard is no more. We had a good run, but it was bound to happen sooner or later. I've updated the beard page and even put together a little pictorial of the event.

I also finally updated the contest page to include links (at the top) to the sticker request and picture upload pages. I also added a little diddy at the bottom about a potential deadline... right now I'm thinking mid/late May. I haven't heard anything from anyone about the contest, so I'm sort of hoping that everyone is hard at work getting some awesome pictures.

Finally, I'm hoping to get a test run of shirts done this coming weekend. There's one small problem... no design. But, once I come up with something, it'll be smooth sailing. I'm open to suggestions for ideas since currently I have none.

A little late... so shoot me!

Here's a shot of Mike's Winterbeard/All-season Beard. I meant to get it up yesterday, but I didn't have the picture with me at the time. Sorry!

Also, I used that new Schick Quattro this morning to shave my head. It's worthless... so completely worthless. I had to re-shave my head using my wonderful Head Blade. If I were to rank all the shaving devices I've used it would go:

1) Head Blade
2) Mach 3
3) (tie) Schick Quattro
3) (tie) Single Blade Disposable

Make progress everyday...

OK, I finally got the upload page going for the sticker contest. Go ahead and check it out. It's 99% functional, but there are still a few things I'm going to add over the course of the week if I get a chance to. But, go ahead and upload pictures if you have them, it's all good.

I'm also going to work on updating some of the other pages to include links to the upload page, but that really doesn't affect anyone else.

I also had some beard pictures of my buddy, Mike, that I was going to add to the user submission page but they're on my computer at home. Here's the thing, I suck. I'll get them up tonight or tomorrow morning, I swear.

I was also going to take some pictures of my beard as sort of a 'final update' before next weekend, but I forgot. Here's the thing, I REALLY suck. I'll try to get something up before this weekend.

I also tweaked up the mailing list script, but I haven't gotten a chance to test it... until now. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Nothing worth mentioning today, other than the fact that I was 3 hours late for work. Holla!

Also, the stickers should be arriving at my house today. I guess that's kind of money.

And here's a couple of links I stumbled across this weekend. The first is for some beard shampoo. If only I had known about this 4 months ago. The second is a webboard dedicated to talking about beards. A good idea in theory, but I get the impression that some/most of the dudes there might be gay (not that there's anything wrong with that...).

So yeah, I got nothing.

Bad News...

OK, I'm not going to beat around the bush and I'm certainly not going to sugar coat this... I don't have any stickers. (OK, that's a lie, I have 6, but that's beside the point). I placed an order for a ton of stickers about 2+ weeks ago. Unfortunately, there must've been some kind of mixup at contagious and I don't even know if they've gotten my order or gotten started on it yet. I tried to follow-up last week, but they were too busy getting a blizzard. So what does this mean?

This means I'll push the deadline of the contest back a couple weeks. I haven't decided how long, but it'll be pushed back. I've addressed the issue on the contest page.

Also, I tweaked the stickers page a bit more. I think it's getting closer to perfection. What's new? Well, I added "previous" and "next" arrows which will make scrolling through the thumbnails easier. I also made it so the current "jump to" numbers for the active page of thumbnails are unlinked. That doesn't make sense. Just go to the page and check it out. And while you're at it, check out the new pictures from Virginia.

Finally, a date has been set for the shaving of the beard. March 20, 2004. The first day of spring. A fitting end for the winter beard.
