Maintenance Time...

All right folks, since I'm all about making the people happy here at brianellisrules.com I've decided to take the necessary step and fix up the sticker picture page. "But, Brian, it's practically perfect!" I know, I know... but some people wanted thumbnails and well, what the people want, the people get. So, hopefully I can bang it out in time for Monday... when it comes back up I'll have some new sticker pictures for the page (some from CA and NJ, I think... maybe more).

In the meantime, just sit back, relax and post your arse off in the forum (while it's still around!).

Decide the Fate of the Website!

It has been brought to my attention there are some people out there who feel the forum has "ruined" brianellisrules.com. While I'd like to think this is nothing but hogwash, there might be some validity to that statement. It's been pointed out that the quality (and quantity) of comments here on the main page have fallen off significantly since the introduction of the forum. So, I ask you... should the forum stay? I don't think I'm in any position to make any decisions so important as this one, so I leave it in the hands of the people. Voice your opinion on the matter! And if you'd like to leave a comment here or in the forum, feel free to do that as well.

Notice anything new??

OK, first off, there's been some changes around here. I took some pointers from some of the cats over at the macrumors forums and tweaked the site a bit. Here's a rundown of the changes:

1) Background Images - The #1 comment was the lack of color. So, I took a suggestion and added some backgrounds. There's 7 of them and they're randomly selected. Keep hitting reload for the full effect. I'll randomly be adding more backgrounds.

2) Date Separation - One of the macrumors guys said that my page looked like it was designed in 1994. Yeouch! He said it all ran together and was tough to read. I didn't realize it at first, but he was right. So, I added a little outline around the date of each entry to help break up the page. I think it looks h0tt.

3) Mission Statement - The final change was taken from a suggestion about the "the real reason we're here" link up at the top of the page. One guy recommended not taking people away from the main page (it used to link to the master plan). Instead of going directly there now, a little window pops up that gives the jist of the site. Go ahead, scroll up and give it a try!

And since these changes are all cosmetic and not all *that* interesting, I took some new beard pictures. I tried taking them myself and out of the gozillion I took, only 2 weren't horrible. Word up.

Also, there's an AYCE announcement up for the coming week. I can't wait!

PS, the stickermap has been updated to include Louisiana. One step closer to blanketing the entire US...

Massive Update

Howdy folks. I just went ahead and added about a gozillion new sticker pics that people have sent me over the past month or so. The new pictures are from NJ (#27-45), MD (#2-5) and I added an international section, complete with 5 new pictures. I also did some renaming of the pictures and whatnot so now all the new pictures (when I add them to the gallery from here on out) will be at the end of the list. Or maybe I should reverse order them so the new ones are at the front. Hmmm, much to think about.

I also added a forum at the end of last week. I just now went ahead and re-did the menu at the top of the page here to include a link for that. I had to shuffle some stuff around and change it up a bit, but I think the new layout works. Stay tuned to this section if you're in the greater New Jersey area and like to eat. That's where the AYCE announcements will be posted. Also, be sure to sign up for the forum because... it's... awesome? Yeah, it's the coolest! You don't even know!

I thought there was more to talk about, but maybe not. Oh yeah, if you've sent me a sticker picture and it's not up in the gallery, let me know cause I think every picture I have is up there now. Holla!

...and we're back! again!

Howdy folks. I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Years eve. I know I had an *interesting* one to say the least. I'm tossing around the idea of doing a little write-up, at least of the highlights. We'll see about that. I was down in Waynesboro, PA and Fredneck, MD this past loooong weekend and that was a fun time. Got a few sticker pics which I'll get up eventually.

Also, I've received a ton of new sticker pics from people that I'll also get up eventually, and some new winter beard user submissions that are up now. Go take a look.

There was some more stuff I wanted to talk about, but I can't seem to recall now. Sorry!
